Dallas police reel in 200th car thief with bait car
Some may decry its trickery, but you can't ignore the results: Dallas police arrested the 200th person in connection with their bait-car program Thursday morning. Police plant the cars, in this case an SUV with shiny chrome rims, on city streets, wait for an idiot or two to steal the car, and then use a remote device to lock the doors and cut the engine. This particular thief tried to make the ingenious getaway of jumping out the window while the car was still rolling, but hit some trash cans and brick mailbox when he landed and was caught soon thereafter.
