Most deported Irving immigrants arrested for misdemeanors

According to an Irving police report released Wednesday, the majority of immigrants arrested there over the past 13 months have been charged with misdemeanors such as outstanding traffic tickets, outstanding warrants, assault, theft, criminal mischief and prostitution.

Additionally, immigration reform activists are claiming that the Irving Police Department is practicing racial profiling because most of those arrested have been from either Mexico or other Latin American countries.

That's a ridiculous claim. How many illegal immigrants from England are hiding in Irving? Is the area shot through with illegal immigrants from Switzerland? The vast majority of illegals in this state are from "Mexico and other Latin American countries," so of course Hispanics are most likely to be deported.

The problem with immigration reform activists is that, well, they're stupid. They're also racist. When you get right down to it, every civil rights group is more racist than the racists they claim to despise.
