Irving-based EFJ, Inc.’s 3eTI subsidiary snags $2.7 million order From Department of Defense
The order is for secure wireless communications for military bases.
IRVING EFJ, Inc. announced today that its 3e Technologies International (3eTI) subsidiary has received a purchase order for $2.7 million from a U.S. Department of Defense customer to provide secure wireless communications for military bases. The order includes 3eTI equipment and software packaged as kits to help emergency response teams quickly and easily establish networked capabilities during natural disasters and homeland security events.

"Rapidly deployable wireless equipment is essential when the unexpected happens," said Michael E. Jalbert, chairman and chief executive officer of EFJ, Inc. "The rapidly deployable kits utilize 3eTI commercial off-the-shelf products which are field proven, affordable and highly secure and we are pleased to be able to offer a solution that will enhance the capabilities our military emergency responders. This type of solution can also be replicated cost-effectively for any of the nation's government agencies or military branches, and similar kits could be used by friendly militaries throughout the world."
The emergency response kits are a tactical broadband solution that provides personnel the ability to access critical data and make informed decisions in the event a temporary network is needed. FIPS 140-2 Validation ensures tested and certified security that protects vital and confidential information from unwanted eavesdroppers.
