And/Or Gallery presents Show #12: Kevin Bewersdorf + Guthrie Lonergan. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, October 20th, 6pm-9pm with performance by Tree Wave at 8:30pm and a House of Dang! anniversary party next door.
Austin-based RISD alumni Kevin Bewersdorf has a wide range of expertise including photography, painting, video, film, music, and net art. His most recent work involves rendering photographs and images from Google onto digitally printed gift items from various online retailers. Kevin is also known for his film work, including the critically acclaimed indie film LOL, which he co-wrote and starred in.
Guthrie Lonergan is a new media artist based in LA whose output is primarily web and video-based. He scrapes the bottom of the Internet for material to appropriate into smart commentaries on our computer/media-based culture. In February, his work will be exhibited at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York for the exhibition Derivative Art: Montage on the Unmonumental Web.
Show #12 runs through November 24th. Note that the gallery will now also be open on Thursdays.
