Euless to present “Stars Over Euless” nighttime experience
Bring a flashlight and blanket. You'll see the stars and maybe a wookie, too.
On Friday, October 19th at 9:00 p.m., the City of Euless and the Planetarium at the University of Texas at Arlington will once again present Stars Over Euless, a nighttime star-gazing experience at Bob Eden Park.
Staff members from the new $2.2 million Planetarium at UTA will be on hand to point out stars and planets in the evening sky that an unfortunately few people stop to consider.
This event will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of Star Wars, so there will be door prize crap as well as characters from the movie. Probably Yoda and Chewy or at least a stormtrooper.
The planetarium staff will also bring out powerful telescopes so kids can gaze into outer space and learn about the order and function of stars and planets in the sky.
Bring a flashlight and blanket and enjoy an evening of educational fun, nerd. Click here for directions.
