Texas Governor Rick Perry endorses Giuliani for President

Email Print Tell us your story Comments (3)

On Wednesday, Texas Governor Rick Perry officially endorsed former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani for President.

Also, this can't be helping any.

Also, this can't be helping any.

Citing Giuliani's experience, tough stance on crime and his "strict constructionist" mentality, Perry announced on FOX News (where else?) he is going to "excitedly" support and work for Giuliani's campaign.

Other GOP insiders have derided Perry's support for a candidate who is markedly more liberal than most Republicans can stomach (i.e., Giuliani's support for public funding for abortions and his leniency on gay rights).

Meanwhile, it's likely Republican voters might just flock to whatever candidate they can get (be they moderate, Mormon, etc.) out of sheer fear of Hillary Clinton, just like how Democrats championed a lackluster John Kerry in deference to George Jr.

Praise the Lord for Cathie Adams having the courage to stand in opposition to Perry's endorsement of Giuliani. Will other Christian leaders that also endorsed Perry in the 2006 gubernatorial race have the same courage? (Becky Farrar, Concerned Women of America PAC - Tim Lambert, Texas Home School Coalition - Norm Mason and Jeanne Mason, Texas Christian Coalition - Dr. Joe Pojman, Texas Alliance for Life - Kelly Shackelford, Free Market Foundation - Kyleen Wright, Texans for Life Coalition.)

Christians leaders please consider carefully that we will be judged by GOD standards not GOP standards. Repent from endorsing idolaters like Cornyn, Bush & Perry; and start endorsing men that fear God.
