University of Dallas names three new trustees to the board
Fitzgibbons, Hubach and Maher: names to reckon with. (Such could be said, at least, of the people behind the names.)
The University of Dallas today (Oct. 18) announced the appointment of three new members to their Board of Trustees: E. Timothy Fitzgibbons, Francis P. Hubach, Jr., and Cathy Maher, all of whom will now begin serving three year terms in their positions.
Says Dr. Frank Lazarus, UD president: "The University is proud to welcome Cathy, Frank and Tim to the Board of Trustees. Their knowledge and expertise will be valuable as we work together to support UD’s tradition of educational excellence and its strategic goals.” (I mean, what else was he going to say, right?)
Here's the lowdown on the new appointees:
E. Timothy Fitzgibbons has 35 years of experience working in technology companies, with the last 25 years in senior executive positions responsible for product strategy, resources, execution and business results. In addition to being awarded patents on products we use every day, he has been a consultant both domestically and in Europe on new technology for cutting-edge products. Fitzgibbons holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dallas and a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Francis P. Hubach, Jr. is the Partner-in-charge of the Dallas office of Jones Day, an international law firm with more than 2,200 lawyers located in 30 offices around the world. He is a former trustee of the Catholic Foundation and former chairman of the Board of Trustees of Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas and of the Jesuit Foundation. He is currently on the board of St. Anthony Foundation. Hubach received a bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
Cathy Maher began her career with the Dallas Bar Association in 1978 and was promoted to the position of Executive Director in 1995. In that capacity she oversees an organization of approximately 10,000 members and a budget of $2.7 million. Most recently, she worked closely in executing a capital campaign to successfully raise $14 million. Maher is active in the National Association of Bar Executives and served as one of the founding board members of Bryan’s House. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas.
