Voice SMS is an application that provides the ability for subscribers to send short voice messages to any mobile subscriber regardless of network or handset. Voice SMS extends the popularity of one-way messaging from simple text to expressive voice messages, making it simple for mobile subscribers to quickly and easily communicate with one another.

“This order is a testament to the power of the Media Exchange platform. Not only does it allow subscribers to run multiple applications in a single session but it enables personalization,” said Jim Milton, Chief Operating Officer, Intervoice. “For the service provider in today’s announcement, adding Voice SMS is adding the element of personalization to the ever-popular capability of text messaging and giving subscribers the ability to use a more natural and personal form of communication, their voices.”
