Dallas voters go to the polls on the Trinity Referendum

Early voting starts Monday, Oct. 22. What to know before you go.

— Voters will soon cast their ballots to decide the fate of proposed development between the Trinity River levees, ending months (if not years) of debate. Angela Hunt's TrinityVote Yes! opposes a planned tollroad in the park. Her fellow Dallas city councilmembers support Vote No! Save the Trinity, which wants to build the tollroad within the levees. Confused?

Registered voters in Dallas should check out PegNews.com's Trinity River Project hub for background, including complete video of the entire debate between Hunt and Mayor Tom Leppert sponsored by the League of Women Voters.

If you still have questions and haven't had time or energy to attend any debates. you've still got a chance to pose your questions to officials, journalists, and citizens on both sides. The Dallas iMedia Network is sponsoring a forum Monday, Oct. 22 which will include questions from the viewing public.

Early votes don't have to be cast in the precinct where you are registered. Follow this link for a list and map of locations close to your home or office.
