Prior to the Horned Frogs' game against New Mexico on Sat., Nov. 3, the Frogs for the Cure (led by a committee of about 40 TCU staff, faculty, students, alumni and community supporters of the Susan G. Komen organization) will hold a tailgate for breast cancer survivors and their families. During the game's halftime festivities, attendees will hear from seven local individuals affected by breast cancer, including a student who lost a parent to the disease; a staff member undergoing chemotherapy; and a faculty member who has lost a breast to the disease.
Chair of Frogs for the Cure Ann Louden is encouraging football fans to "pink out" the stadium by dressing in - you guessed it - pink; the halftime activities will culminate with the release of pink balloons by about 1,000 individuals (survivors, supporters and members of student groups) carrying them out onto the field.
A portion of the sales of t-shirts and game tickets (available for purchase here) will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure (Tarrant County chapter).
For further information, contact Ann Louden at 817-257-7254 or a.louden@tcu.edu.
