UT Arlington men’s tennis competes at ITA Regional
As the weekend of play comes to an end, the 2007 ITA South Central Regionals has reached its quarterfinal rounds in both doubles and singles. Play continues tomorrow, Oct. 22, at 8:30 a.m. at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
UT Arlington's final main draw singles player Dmitry Minkin fell 6-3, 6-2 to Baylor's hard-hitting No. 5 seed Dominik Mueller. The Mavs struggled in the consolation bracket, with Gonzalo Bienzobas being the lone player to find a win over Vishnu Rajam of Rice, 6-7, 7-6, 1-0. Bienzobas will play in the consolation round of 16 against Texas Tech's Michael Breler tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.
The Mavs are set to closeout their fall schedule at the Texas Invitational, Nov. 2-4 in Austin.
