Tom Hicks (owner of the Texas Rangers) and Dallas-based Gatehouse Capital announced on Monday (Oct. 22) that they will team with Steiner + Associates to build a new 300-room Westin Hotel and a 140-room Aloft Hotel as part of the Glorypark development, planned on a site adjacent to the under-construction Cowboys stadium and the existing Ballpark at Arlington. The two four-star establishments are the first brand names to be announced in association with the Glorypark venture.

When completed (barring some kind of earthquake or plague or something on a similar catastrophic level) the Glorypark complex will include 1.2 million sq. ft. of residential, retail and office space. (All things we can't seem to get enough of here in the metromess.)
