Risk Theater Initiative has received their own performance space and now they opening of the first production in the brand new Mainstage Theatre, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. The show will run from October 25 - November 18 with performances on Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

The show is a time-bending comedic-drama (in the style of "Boston Legal") set in Hope (an imagined world between Heaven and Hell) that re-examines the plight and fate of The New Testament's most infamous and unexplained ultimate sinner. Throughout the play, figures ranging from Pontius Pilate to Sigmund Freud are called to testify in a trial of "God and the Kingdom of Heaven and Earth versus Judas Iscariot." Other characters include Judas' mother Henrietta Iscariot, Defense Attorney Fabiana Aziza Cunningham, Prosecuting Attorney Yusef El-Fayoumy, and Civil War veteran, presiding Judge Littlefield.

The production features a cast of Dallas favorites, including R. Bruce Elliott (Judge Littlefield), Wilbur Penn (Satan/Pontius Pilate) , Chad Gowen Spear (Yusef El-Fayoumy), Jennifer Pasion (Fabiana Cunningham), Dan Forsythe (Judas), Ginger Goldman (St. Monica/Mother Theresa), Lulu Ward (Henrietta Iscariot), Beau Trujillo (Simon the Zealot), Brad Davidson (Jesus), Hilary Couch (Mary Magdalene), Mark Guerra (The Bailiff from Upper Mongolia), Jim Kuenzer (Sigmund Freud/St. Thomas), Scott Barber (St. Peter), Natalie Young (Gloria the Angel), and Scott Milligan (Butch).

Directed by Tom Parr IV, the show has scenic design by Tom Parr IV, costume design by Jennifer Ables, lighting and sounds design by Heath Gage, and props design by Marianne Galloway.
