UPDATED: Dallas-based Heritage Galleries sells lock of Che Guevara’s hair for nearly $120K
The buyer was a Houston-based bookstore owner who collects '60s items.
Dallas-based auction house Heritage sold another nutty thing -- this time, a lock of hair from the head of revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara.
The hair was a 3-inch lock snipped from Che's head right before he was buried in 1967. Bill Butler, 61, who owns Butler & Sons Books near Houston, bought the hair for $119,500.

Mike Orren, says:
We'd said $100k, but I just heard from the folks at Heritage that the price was $119,500.

i thought it was the whole collection of stuff that got $119,500? (i.e., letters, maps, newspaper clippings, fingerprints, and photos). with the hair itself coming in at under $100K
