Fort Worth City Councilman brings up homosexuality as issue in campaign
Speaking to the Fort Worth Republican Woman's Club Wednesday, Fort Worth City Councilman Chuck Silcox urged the audience to vote for Chris Turner over Joel Burns in the District 9 race, citing as one of his reasons that Turner is "married to a female, and the other's married to a male." Turner later told the Star-Telegram he brought up Burns' sexual orientation because he feels the paper doesn't talk about the "negative" of Burns being gay.
No extraneous comment here other than to let Silcox hoist himself by his own petard.
