SMU football coach Phil Bennett fired on Sunday
DALLAS — SMU head football coach Phil Bennett was fired on Sunday. Athletic Director Steve Orsini said he had to make a change in direction after a series of disappointments including a six-game losing streak. However, Bennett will stay to coach the remaining four games of the season.
