The Dallas Architecture Forum continues with award-winning architect Anton Garcia-Abril of Madrid, Spain, who will speak about his latest work on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Magnolia Theatre.
In the forefront of the new generation of Spanish architects, Garcia-Abril ties the building process intimately to design. Serving as contractor and architect, he works boldly in stone, steel, and concrete –and above all, in scale. His music school for Santiago de Compostella, Spain was a finalist for the EU’s prestigious Mies Van der Rohe Pavillion Prize. Garcia-Abril has been a visiting critic at UT-Arlington and serves as lead juror in this year’s AIA Dallas Ken Roberts Competition.
