DALLAS American Community Newspapers Inc. today announced the launch of its new Columbus, Ohio newspaper Web site portal, www.ColumbusLocalNews.com. The enhanced site will be a destination to 22 community weekly newspapers serving the Columbus and Central Ohio communities.
www.ColumbusLocalNews.com plans to focus on the localized news and information that matters most to the residents of its communities, including news about local city councils and government; school districts; high school and youth sports; festivals; events; fire and rescue; and local business. ACN has also implemented several interactive features including the ability for members of the community to submit user-generated content such as photos, local events and news.
"We're glad to provide the Columbus community with a new digital resource that delivers the localized news and information our readers and visitors rely on, including a new real estate vertical," stated Gene M. Carr, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Community Newspapers. "As one of our ongoing growth initiatives, we will continue to enhance our complementary online products in order to increase the value proposition for both local advertisers and readers."
