RockHouse Live closes up shop, for now
This email from the owner of RockHouse Live in Dallas was just forwarded my way concerning the venue's recent closure:
Greetings RockHouse friends,
First, many of you may have heard... after a year and a half of killer concerts, great fun, and lots of new friends, we have closed our doors at 17449 Preston Road in Dallas, effective this past Saturday night. It was a very difficult decision that we felt we had to make, one that tore our hearts apart, but we were not hitting the numbers necessary to be successful in that location. Yup, we loved the room and put a whole lotta love into it from top to bottom, but love alone won't keep a big place like that rockin'.
But fear not. I'm very happy to say that RockHouse is moving to a new location that will be much better, and will make more sense for our business model. It won't be that far away from the old location, and we think you are really going to like it. So please keep an eye on Myspace for new bulletins and we will announce the location and opening date in the coming weeks.
If you are in a band, and you are booked in the month of November, we will contact you regarding whether or not we will be ready.
Thank you very much for your support and we hope to see you very soon at RockHouse 2.0!
With much love and thanks -
Zach & the entire RockHouse staff
