AUSTIN - Texas Governor Rick Perry recently spoke at the 30th Annual Governor's Volunteer Leadership Conference in Galveston Texas and took a moment to meet with McKinney ISD Partners in Education Coordinator Nancy Cowlishaw.
Perry's presentation to the conference emphasized the importance of volunteering in communities and schools. The Governor met briefly with Nancy Cowlishaw, Coordinator of Partners in Education with McKinney ISD, to discuss McKinney ISD's volunteer and mentoring program.
McKinney ISD is currently seeking volunteer and mentor men and women to work with students in McKinney ISD. For more information about how to get involved with the McKinney ISD Partners in Education program, contact Nancy Cowlishaw at 469-742-4043 or by e-mail at ncowlishaw@mckinneyisd.net.
