Plano trumps Mesquite for second straight year
Well, Mesquite's loss to Plano may have been a surprise for some, but TexasPrepsInsider.com's Matt Diggs picked the Wildcats to win. Of course, even he didn't think they'd win 31-13.
DMN's Tim MacMahon thought Mesquite quarterback Kelly Page, who earlier last month committed to Tulsa, then switched to Oregon, could throw 300 yards against the Plano defense. Nope, he only managed 88.
Mesquite was ranked No. 17 in Texas football by MaxPreps.
