At least 16 cats found hoarded in northeast Dallas home

Last year, 50 cats were removed from the same home.

— At least 16 cats were found hoarded in a home in the 2700 block of Larry Drive in northeast Dallas, off Gus Thomasson Road out by 30 and 635.

The floor was covered with rotting cat food and feces so thick it was described as "like a carpet." The rescue team had to force the door open because it was blocked by feces, and they had to wear oxygen masks because the smell was described as toxic.

The poor neighbor guy who called in the first place said that the smell is so bad, he can't use his pool, and that he's had a hard time getting a response from Animal Services.
