Both students and the general public are invited to the event.
FARMERS BRANCH With more than 70 companies committed to attending so far, the career fair at Brookhaven College offers opportunities for students and community members to speak directly with employers who are looking for workers. The fall career fair is set for Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Services Center, Building S, of the Brookhaven College campus.
The college’s Career Development Center coordinates the fair and encourages all those attending to bring copies of their résumé. Employers will include banks, hotels and resorts, financial services, retail, insurance, government and technical companies. With the large number of employers who attend, potential job openings are available at national and local businesses, large and small such as Hyatt Hotels, Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, Dallas Plumbers and Pipefitters, MBNA America, FedEx Ground and Parkland Hospital.
In addition to two semi-annual career fairs, Brookhaven College’s Career Development Center offers individual counseling, mock interviews, career testing and job search assistance. For more information about the career fair, please contact the Career Development Center at 972-860-4894. Brookhaven College is located in the city of Farmers Branch, just north of the LBJ Freeway (IH-635) at 3939 Valley View Lane between Midway Road and Marsh Lane.
