Duncanville Police Department has charged London Broc Morgan, 17, in an aggravated kidnapping/robbery that took place at about 4:30 a.m. Aug. 30. He is being held in the Dallas County jail on a bond of $50,000.
On Aug. 31, Duncanville detectives learned of a Charlton arrest of a male suspect matching the description of the kidnapping suspect. Shortly after the aggravated kidnapping Charlton police received a call of a suspicious person of “a man with a gun.”
Charlton police saw the suspect, who evaded arrest and during the foot pursuit, threw down a pistol.
Morgan was arrested by the Methodist Hospital police at Charlton Methodist Hospital on unrelated charges.
The 52-year-old victim reported to police that she was filling her car with gas at the QT convenience store located at 900 S. Cockrell Hill Road.
The suspect approached the woman and ordered her back in her car.
“The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim drive to an ATM and get money out,” Public Information Officer Doug Sisk said.
After being unable to retrieve money from the first ATM, the suspect forced the victim to drive to another ATM in the Wal-Mart parking lot in the 3100 block of W. Wheatland Road in Dallas.
“The suspect then threatened the victim again at gunpoint to get money out of the ATM. When the victim was unable to obtain any money, the suspect threatened to kill the victim,” Sisk said.
At this point, the victim reported jumping from her car and running and yelling toward people in the parking lot.
The suspect fled the location on foot and possibly boarded a Dart bus in the 3100 block of W. Wheatland Road.
