PETA protestors, dripping A-C mar perfection of Crystal Charity Ball society luncheon
DALLAS The annual Crystal Ball Charity luncheon, wherein 10 ladies receive awards for their tasteful acquisition of designer clothes, was marred on Friday when 1. People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals showed up at Neiman Marcus to protest fur (carrying signs that said [Giorgio] "Armani butchers bunnies"), and then 2. someone turned off the air-conditioner in the tent, resulting in condensation dripping onto some of the attendees, who Kristiana at Park Cities People's Overheard blog said "ended up in their underwear in the ladies room as they tried to dry their clothes and hair." Delicious. Giorgio Armani was there and Lance Armstrong, too. Why oh why can't these well-clad ladies pat themselves on the back for spending too much money on clothes without something going horribly, horribly wrong?
