Former teacher Jose Alberto Felix convicted in murder of Dallas restaurateur Oscar Sanchez
DALLAS Former elementary teacher Jose Alberto Felix was convicted of capital murder Tuesday in the kidnapping and death of Dallas restaurateur Oscar Sanchez, whose family owns La Calle Doce and El Ranchito restaurants. Felix faces life in prison.
Felix's attorney claims he went along with the scheme because his roommate, waiter Edgar "Richie" Acevedo, threatened to kill him. Acevedo is awaiting trial.
