Half of Texas’ top teacher finalists are from the DFW area
More education
Garland, Keller, and McKinney school districts are preening this week on the announcement by Texas Education Agency of the Texas “Teachers of the Year”. Three of the six finalists are from area school districts. Paul V Reyna, of Vernon Schrade Middle School in Garland ISD, was one of three Elementary teachers so honored. Grant Simpson, 4th grade math teacher, inspires at Hidden Lakes Elementary at Keller ISD. And Anne Fisher Presley, teaching economics and government to seniors at McKinney HS of McKinney ISD, was one of the three Secondary teachers honored.
Other honorees included Thereas Fallwell of Katy among Elementary Teachers of the Year, and Paul Cain of Ysleta and Vicki Mueller of Austin were honored among Secondary educators.
