Polyphonic Spree performed at Oscar de la Renta fashion show on Monday

Dallas band Polyphonic Spree gave an unusual live performance on Monday, at the Oscar de la Renta fashion show in New York. USA Today called de la Renta's show "a detour from the 'ladies who lunch' stereotype" offering instead "a hip fashion show with a performance by indie band/choir The Polyphonic Spree." (USAT also mentions "a front-row appearance by uber-trendster Victoria Beckham" but who cares about her.) The band performed "Light to Follow" and "Light and Day".

An insider from the Polyphonic Spree camp shares that band members Tim DeLaughter and Julie Doyle got a private sit-down with de la Renta, who admired the band's signature robes as well its its new military garb, and signed a Spree poster for Tim and Julie's daughter Stella.
