Accidental shooting injures three at Dallas temple
Apparently, "shooting your daughter in the foot" has been added to the Rosh Hashanah traditions of dipping apples in honey and the sounding of the shofar.
Oy. A man carrying a loaded gun to Temple Emanu-el Wednesday evening accidentally dropped the thing, causing it to go off and shoot his daughter in the foot. Two other people also received slight injuries from the bullet.
And a happy Rosh Hashanah to you, too, sir! One hopes S'lichot was observed after the shooting, as this man definitely has a sin for which he needs to atone.
