UT Southwestern doctor files suit against cohorts
According to a story in the Dallas Business Journal, UT Southwestern Dr. Larry Gentilello filed a second lawsuit, the first in June against UT Southwestern, against Dr. Robert Rege, chairman of the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern, and Dr. Alfred G. Gilman, dean of the UT Southwestern medical school.
In the first suit, Gentilello alleged that UT Southwestern residents performed unsupervised procedures on patients at Parkland.
Rege informed Gentillelo that his chair positions were being taken from him in March and in May, Gentillelo received a letter from Gilman stating that he agreed with Rege. Thus, the reason for Gentillelo filing the second lawsuit against the two men.
