DNA test clears man of 1982 rape

Steven Phillips, who was convicted in two separate trials for sexually assaulting and burglarizing a woman in 1982, has reported been cleared of those crimes because of new DNA testing results.

However, in order to be totally exonerated, a judge must decide that the results also clear Phillips of other sex crimes for which he was also convicted.
