Hawaiian Falls in Garland hosts Operation Kindness
Garland Hundreds of animal lovers said “Aloha” to summer Sunday, September 16, at Hawaiian Falls Firewheel in Garland as they splashed and played in the water with their best friends.
From tiny chihuahuas and terriers to massive bloodhounds and mastiffs, dogs paddled and jumped and played in the Waikiki Beach wave pool and Splashwater Falls during the one-day fundraiser for Operation Kindness, the area’s oldest and largest no-kill animal shelter. More information is available at www.operationkindness.org.
Hawaiian Falls scheduled the fundraiser on the last day of the season since they would be draining the pools for the winter the next day. The waterpark will re-open Memorial Day weekend 2008.
