Annual Savor Dallas returns March 7-8 with renewed focus on downtown

The International Grand Tasting will move to the Plaza of the Americas and the Westin City Center Hotel.

— Savor Dallas, an annual wine and food weekend founded by Jim and Vicki Briley-White, returns on March 7-8, 2008, with a renewed focus on Downtown Dallas.

The Savor Dallas Arts District Wine Stroll returns to the Nasher Sculpture Center and Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. A Savor Dallas "Friday evening ticket" will also allow attendees to enjoy a celebration in Victory Park's AT&T Plaza, including a film screening with AFI DALLAS on March 7 (two great events with one ticket).

Also in 2008, the highly anticipated "International Grand Tasting" moves downtown to the beautiful Plaza of the Americas and Westin City Center Hotel (the official host hotel for Savor Dallas). More than 60 of North Texas' top chefs will showcase their signature recipes on Saturday, March 8, along with over 500 premium wines, spirits, and beers. The ultimate epicurean experience features vintners, artisan producers, and purveyors from around the globe.

Tickets for Savor Dallas go on sale October 1st online.

Other exciting North Texas events featuring celebrity chefs and vintners will be announced in the coming weeks.

"Our mission from the beginning has been to help shine a spotlight on the renaissance in Downtown Dallas," said Jim White. "We are delighted to consolidate our events in the downtown area as we continue to showcase the best culinary talent and the finest cultural and artistic aspects of our region."
