Eastfield College to break ground on Learning Studios building
MESQUITE Eastfield College invites you to join us in the groundbreaking for the Learning Studios Building on the Eastfield campus Tuesday, September 25 at 4 p.m. behind the Performance Hall.
The Learning Studios Building has been designed by HKS, Inc. Architects. This large new facility will be located on the west side of the campus compound and will house learning studios designed to permit greater interaction between students and faculty and thus enhance student learning. The Learning Studios will be innovative learning spaces located through out the facility that will facilitate student learning by student to student interaction and faculty to student relationships. The planned opening date for this new facility is fall of 2008.
Eastfield is in the midst of a large capital building program that will result in the ultimate construction of four major educational/learning facilities on the Eastfield campus on I-30 just west of LBJ Freeway in Mesquite. In addition to these on-campus facilities, Eastfield will also be responsible for the design, construction and servicing of the South Campus of the Dallas County Community College District.
