Arlington police warn public about two men posing as police officers
Arlington police are warning citizens to be on the lookout for two guys posing as cops.
The suspects pretended to be officers in an attempt to steal a woman's purse on Tuesday, September 18th around 10:00 p.m. The victim, a 28-year-old Arlington woman, was driving in the 1800 block of south Collins Street (near Pioneer Parkway). The guys pulled behind her in a white, four-door Chevy Caprice with a red flashing light on the dashboard and a spotlight flashing.
They approached her car, one on each side, and asked for her license. She, in turn, asked to see their badges, which prompted one of the suspects to yell "I don't need a badge!" and then demand to have her purse. Then the woman drove away.
At this time, "THE ARLINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT" (their caps, not mine) would like to remind you they "DO NOT USE ANY CHEVY CAPRICE MODEL VEHICLES" as cop cars. Instead, they use white Ford Crown Victorias, Chevy Impalas and Chevy Tahoes, all of which are marked and have light bars on the roof. And the only unmarked cars they use are silver, grey or dark blue Crown Victorias with multiple lights.
Also, all Arlington patrol officers wear official police uniforms with a nameplate, badge and patches.

All tipsters remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward up to $1,000.

Aaron Johnson, says:
"And the only unmarked cars they use are silver, grey or dark blue Crown Victorias" So after you finish that bowl, the only vehicles you really need to be paranoid about are listed above.
