Dallas-based Heritage Auction Galleries sold a post-card belonging to Apollo astronaut Buzz Aldrin for $179,250.

The card, from Aldrin's personal collection, had handwritten Bible verse that Aldrin was dying to recite from the moon until NASA told him no. Its $180,000 price tag puts it in the league of notorious astronaut memorabilia along with the famed Mercury dimes astronaut Gus Grissom stuck in his jumpsuit pocket, hoping to give them to kids or make a few bucks; Grissom died in a training accident and the dimes' whereabouts are uncertain.

Here's the video of Aldrin's infamous smackdown of a guy who accused him of not having actually walked on the moon:

Allegedly: The 'back story' to this video is that Aldrin had driven 1000 miles wearing a diaper to attack this man who condemned Aldrin's 'tryst with the man in the moon' as 'clearly a homosexual encounter'.
