“Cheese” overdose ruled as cause of death for two Tarrant County residents
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has officially ruled that two Tarrant County residents died in July from overdoses of heroin and diphenhydramine, a combination commonly known as "cheese." 17-year-old James Burnette was found at home by his parents on July 31, while 26-year-old Pedro Duque died at home on July 7. Over 20 people throughout North Texas have died from "cheese" overdoses since 2005.
