Collin County Ballet Theatre announces Nutcracker auditions

Christmas is just around the corner, meaning a plethora of Nutcracker performances will be talking place all over the metroplex. Collin County Ballet Theatre is giving kids over the age of 6 the chance to participate in their performances of The Nutcracker.

The open audition will occur on September 29 from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.at Grace Community Church located at 4501 Hedgcoxe Road in Plano. The fee is $10 and checks should be written to Collin County Ballet Theatre. The schedule at the audition is:

• 2:30—3:30 p.m.: Ages 6-8
• 3:30—4:30 p.m.: Ages 9-12
• 5:30—6:30 p.m.: Ages 13 & up (on pointe)

If your kid should make it, the requisite Cast Parents Meeting will occur October 14 at Davis Library in Plano from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. The performance with the Plano Symphony Orchestra will occur December 2nd at 5:00 p.m. at the Eisemann Center in Richardson. Additional performances will occur in Frisco at Wakeland High School on December 22nd at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.
