The team’s 2007 rookie players will have the opportunity to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 - Oct. 15) with children at the school. The players are scheduled to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by helping the children create maracas and ponchos, make paper flowers, paint pictures as well hear the children sing songs in Spanish and English.
The visit to Mi Escuelita is the first of several appearances that the “Rookie Club” is scheduled to make this season.
