Autonomy etalk, an affiliate of a United Kingdom software company that makes software for call centers, is moving its local headquarters in early 2008 from Irving to the Chase Tower at 2200 Ross Ave., right across from the newly-hipster-ish Dallas Arts District. West Fest Polka Festival Westfest kicks off the weekend Friday evening with the Miss Westfest Contest. Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until the 12:30 a.m. closing. If there was ever a place to do your "wurst," this is it. And don't forget kolaches for dessert. More info
