93-year-old McKinney ancestor awarded high school diploma
MCKINNEY 73 years after he was denied his high school diploma due to a disagreement with a teacher, Ridgell McKinney, great-great grandson of Collin McKinney, for whom both McKinney and Collin County are named, will finally be awarded his diploma by the McKinney Independent School District Thursday evening. Strangely, even though he attended McKinney Boyd High School, the presentation will take place in the Faubion Middle School auditorium
That's great and all, but I want to know what Ridgell did to tick off that teacher. Spit tobacco on the floor? Refuse to take his whipping? Come on, McKinney ISD, we need details!
