Dallas Mavericks hire new assistant coach Mario Elie
The Mavericks hired coach and former NBA player Mario Elie as an assistant coach. Elie was an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors from 2004-2005 and for the San Antonio Spurs from 2003-2004.
Ha played for the Houston Rockets from 1993-1995, and the Spurs in 1998-1999, helping to win their first NBA championship.
The Mavericks are still reeling from their loss to Golden State in the 2007 playoffs.
