— Texas Christian won 24-12 Saturday night despite losing two key pieces, starting quarterback Andy Dalton and NFL prospect defensive end Tommy Blake. Dalton was lost to an apparent knee injury on the opening drive, while Blake was put on medical leave earlier in the week, and will probably miss at least one more game.

Dalton's replacement, Marcus Jackson, filled in admirably, going 11-of-26 for 137 yards and a touchdown. He also had 17 carries for 38 yards and two touchdowns.

TCU running back Aaron Brown also had a good day, running 22 times for 124 yards, and added three catches for an additional 26 yards.
