Seattle Mariners 4, Texas Rangers 2
The Texas Rangers dropped the final game of the season Sunday, losing 4-2 in Seattle to the much-improved Mariners. The Rangers finished this interesting season with a record of 75-87, but with the youth movement in full swing, there is a great deal of hope for the future of this team.
Rangers starter AJ Murray pitched well, giving up just four runs --three of them earned -- in six innings. The Rangers offense couldn't get anything going, though, managing to scrape together a mere two runs off four hits and no walks.
