African lions everywhere are left reeling, wondering how such a thing could happen.

African lions everywhere are left reeling, wondering how such a thing could happen.

At 17-years-old, two years older than the natural lifespan for his species, Boris the lion died on Wednesday. Boris was the Dallas Zoo's only lion. Zoo officials believe a necropsy will show that Boris died of a cancerous mass in his chest cavity. The zoo is planning on holding a memorial service for their popular, lone lion.
