Arlington roof surfer pays heavy price for highway stunt

Email Print Tell us your story Comments (9)

A 24-year-old man attempting to "roof surf" on top of a Scion motoring down the highway fell from the vehicle and was critically injured.

One passenger fled the scene and is being sought for questioning; the driver did not appear to be intoxicated, but police still suspect that alcohol was involved.

The victim was transported to a hospital by helicopter.

Oh, man, I hope a hillarious video is recovered when the passenger is apprehended.

Also, so, uh... the guy on the roof was the driver? Was the passenger just steering?

Pavel, the way I read it there were three guys in the vehicle - two passengers (one of whom attempted the surfing maneuver) and the driver.

But - as they say - details are sketchy.

Forgive Pavel, reading comprehension in the motherland isn't quite up to par with us rednecks.

John, thanks for your take on the article. I didn't pick up on that part about "one" passenger fleeing the scene... I was wondering how the car came to a stop. V-e-r-y light on details! We don't know which highway either...It's been a long time since Arlington had just one highway. (80)

As a fellow 24 y/o, I gotta say...I stopped trying stupid crap like this years ago.

I sincerely hope alcohol was involved.
