Lanny’s in Fort Worth offering Mexican-style sandwiches at lunch
There is no truth to the rumor that esteemed chef Lanny Lancarte is using a George Foreman grill to make his cemitas.
Lanny's Alta Cocina Mexicana in Fort Worth has started serving "classy sandwiches," as Bud puts it so eloquently.
Fort Worth customers were requesting bigger portions so chef Lanny Lancarte devised a set of cemitas -- like paninis -- that include grilled chicken-and-ham and mushroom-and-tenderloin, served with fries, for $12 to $14.
This provides a Friday-morning opportunity to contemplate the cemita, the Mexican sandwich and street food which an information-y Web site says comes on a fluffy egg roll and varies according to region.
