Arlington General Motors plant shutting down for three weeks
The General Motors plant in Arlington will shut down for three weeks starting on April 14 in order to try to reduce the number of unsold vehicles. All 2,400 plant employees will receive most of their pay during the furlough through labor contract provisions.
