Flower Mound lifts town-wide burn ban
Due to recent weather changes, higher humidity levels, and the growth of green vegetation, the Flower Mound Fire Department has lifted the Town-wide burn ban effective April 1.
The use of all outdoor grills, fireplaces, fire pits, and chimineas is now permitted, and open burning may be conducted within Flower Mound borders with a burn permit obtained from the Fire Marshal’s office. Open burning is not permitted on lots less than two acres and should not be conducted within 50 feet of any structure or other combustible materials. A permit for welding and hot work must also be obtained prior to work being preformed.
Under any condition, those conducting such activities are encouraged to use extreme caution and judgment. Residents possessing a burn permit must contact the Fire Marshal at 972-874-6207 or Police Dispatch at 972-539-0525 to obtain daily burn status. For more information, visit the Web site.
