Wilmer city council meeting — April 3

The City Council Meeting of April 3 was completely uneventful - no discussion, debate or dissent except Tiny Lange voted against the approval of the Open Invoice Report.

An ordinance approving a new map of the city was approved. No maps were available for review by the public. No discussion by the council.

A tree protection ordinance was approved. No text of the ordinance was available for review by the public. One speaker was permitted to address the council.

A resolution to create an Economic Development Corporation was approved. No details were available for public review. No discussion by the council.

A resolution to create a Community Development Corporation was approved. No details were available for public review. No discussion by the council.

The executive session yielded the hiring of a reserve police officer Brett Lord, and promotions for Judge Paula Allen and Water Superintendent Bud Taylor.
